Reaching speeds of up to 1 GHz, the ADSP-2156x processorsare members of the SHARC® family of products. The ADSP-2156x processor is based on the SHARC+® single core. TheADSP-2156x SHARC processors are members of the SIMDSHARC family of digital signal processors (DSPs) that featureAnalog Devices, Inc., Super Harvard Architecture. These 32-bit/40-bit/64-bit floating-point processors are optimized for

high performance audio/floating-point applications with largeon-chip static

random-access memory (SRAM), multiple internalbuses that eliminate input/output (I/O)

bottlenecks, andinnovative digital audio interfaces (DAI). New additions to theSHARC+

core include cache enhancements and branch prediction,while maintaining instruction set

compatibility to previousSHARC products.

By integrating a rich set of industry-leading system peripheralsand memory, the SHARC+ processor is the platformof choice for applications that require programmabilitysimilar to reduced instruction set computing (RISC), multimediasupport, and leading edge signal processing in oneintegrated package. These applications span a wide array ofmarkets, including automotive, professional audio, and industrial-based applications that require high floating-pointperformance.

评估板EV-SOMCRR-EZKIT

Thank you for purchasing the Analog Devices, Inc. EV-SOMCRR-EZKITcarrier valuation board.

The EV-SOMCRR-EZKIT carrier board is a backplane plug-in card designed for use with System on Module (SoM)evaluation boards. Together, these boards create a full evaluation system to demonstrate Analog Devices embeddedprocessor feature sets. The SoM module features the processor, required power, and external memory circuitry; and

the carrier board provides all the peripheral functionality necessary to evaluate an embedded application.

The EV-SOMCRR-EZKIT carrier board is compatible with numerous SoM boards and works with the Analog Devicesdevelopment tools to test the capabilities of Analog Devices processors.

The evaluation board is designed to be used in conjunction with the CrossCore Embedded Studio? Developmentenvironment for advanced application code development and debug, with features that enable the ability to:

•Create, compile, assemble, and link application programs written in C++, C, and assembly

•Load, run, step, halt, and set breakpoints in application programs

•Read and write data and program memory

•Read and write core and peripheral registers

In addition to the system peripherals, there is an on-board debugger on the EV-SOMCRR-EZKIT carrier board. Theon-board debugger eliminates the need to purchase the In-Circuit Emulator (ICE) that is necessary when using aSoM module in standalone mode.
