演讲人简介：
 身为TI分组语音和视频业务部用户终端解决方案的产品开发和管理执行总监，
Zimmerman 先生负责制定产品战略，以推广能够支持网关、IP 电话、WLAN IP 电话、线缆/DSL 调制解调器以及视频电话产品接入的
VoIP 解决方案。
担任该职之前，Zimmerman 先生曾担任过VoIP业务部芯片平台开发主任之职。再之前，他是高级数字解决方案部门经理，该业务部专门开发针对存储应用的嵌入式DSP芯片组解决方案。在其20多年的职业生涯中，他还担任过多种工程和管理职务，涉及消费类、PC和军事半导体应用领域。
Zimmerman先生获纽约雷金斯学院计算机科学学士学位。他还是TI 技术专家小组（group technical staff）的名誉成员。
As the Executive Director
of product development and management for customer premises solutions
at TI’s Packet Voice and Video business, Fred Zimmerman defines
the strategies and products to support the adoption of Voice over
IP in access gateways, IP phones, WLAN IP phones, cable/DSL modems
and video telephony products.
Prior to his current
position, Zimmerman served as the Director of Silicon Platform Development
for the VoIP business unit. Previously, he was the department manager
for Advanced Digital Solutions, a business unit developing embedded
DSP chipset solutions for storage applications. He has held a variety
of engineering and management roles in groups focusing on consumer,
PC, and military semiconductor applications during a career spanning
over 20 years.
Zimmerman has a bachelor’s
degree in Computer Science from Regents College in New York. He
is also a Member Emeritus of the group technical staff at TI.
